Job Overview
The Industrial Automation Project Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of automation solutions for Siemens’ key clients in Tunisia and the broader North African region. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end automation projects, including requirement analysis, system design, programming, testing, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with clients to define technical specifications and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain PLC programs using Siemens’ TIA Portal, ensuring code quality and documentation standards.
- Integrate SCADA/HMI interfaces, perform system simulations, and conduct on‑site testing.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure components and manage logistics.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and post‑implementation phases.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and Siemens’ internal quality procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the team.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC platforms (S7‑1200/1500, S7‑300/400) and TIA Portal.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, Modbus, OPC UA).
- Experience with SCADA/HMI development (WinCC, Ignition, or similar).
- Project management capabilities, including planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French or Arabic is a plus.

Education
