Job Overview

The Construction Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of safety programs for multiple construction sites in the Sfax region. Reporting directly to the Regional Project Director, you will ensure compliance with Tunisian labor regulations, international safety standards such as ISO 45001, and Eiffage Group’s internal policies. Your role will involve risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain site‑specific safety plans, procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, prepare root‑cause analysis reports and ensure timely implementation of preventive measures.
  • Coordinate safety training programs for all site personnel, including subcontractors, ensuring competency and compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with Tunisian labor law, OSHA standards and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Prepare and present safety performance metrics to senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, procurement and HR to integrate safety considerations into all phases of construction.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, records and reporting systems.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through toolbox talks, safety campaigns and employee engagement.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Tunisian occupational health and safety legislation and international standards.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Education

Experience

Candidates must possess at least five to seven years of progressive experience in construction safety management, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure projects. Prior experience in a multinational construction firm operating in North Africa will be viewed favorably.

Salary
