Job Overview
The Aerospace Systems Integration Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, validating, and integrating complex aerospace subsystems for satellite and defense platforms. Reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and mission analysis to ensure seamless integration of components and compliance with stringent aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system architecture documents, interface control documents, and integration plans for aerospace projects.
- Lead the integration and testing of subsystems, ensuring functional and performance requirements are met.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and manage change requests.
- Perform risk assessments, root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Support certification processes and ensure compliance with international aerospace standards such as ESA, NASA, and MIL‑STD.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of aerospace system architecture, integration methodologies, and verification processes.
- Proficiency in modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, SysML) and configuration management systems.
- Experience with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SIL) testing environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills in English; French is a plus.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
Education
A Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. or additional certifications in systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP) are highly valued.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in aerospace systems integration, preferably on satellite, launch vehicle, or defense platform projects. Experience with international aerospace programs and exposure to multi‑national stakeholder environments will be considered a strong advantage.
