Job Overview

The Network Optimization Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing optimization strategies for Ooredoo’s radio access network (RAN) and core transport layers. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive performance analysis of LTE and 5G sites using drive‑test data, KPI dashboards, and network monitoring tools.
• Develop and implement optimization plans to improve coverage, capacity, and handover success rates.
• Collaborate with radio planning, engineering, and field teams to validate optimization recommendations on‑site.
• Utilize machine learning models to predict traffic patterns and proactively address congestion.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor post‑implementation results and adjust strategies to ensure sustained performance gains.
• Support the integration of new technologies such as Massive MIMO and network slicing.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, and core network architecture.
• Proficiency with network optimization tools (e.g., Atoll, Mentum, TEMS).
• Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and scripting languages (Python, R).
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Cisco CCNP, Nokia NRS, or equivalent are advantageous.

Experience
