As a Geotechnical Engineer at Orana Mining Services, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with a diverse team, and contribute to the success of our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical assessments and analyze data to identify potential hazards and risks
• Develop and implement geotechnical models and designs for mine excavation and construction
• Collaborate with mining engineers, geologists, and other stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient mining operations
• Monitor and report on geotechnical performance of mines and provide recommendations for improvement
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in the mining industry
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, rock mechanics, and soil mechanics
• Proficiency in geotechnical software, such as FLAC, Hoek-Brown, and RockWorks
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Education

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

2-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in the mining industry, is required.

Salary

The salary range for this position is 18,000 – 30,000 SSP.
