Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA team at PepsiCo’s Zarzis manufacturing site, ensuring that all products meet stringent internal specifications and external regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 22000, HACCP, and local food safety regulations.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and closed within defined timelines.
- Monitor product quality metrics, conduct root‑cause analyses, and implement preventive measures to reduce non‑conformities.
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to integrate quality considerations into new product development and process changes.
- Manage supplier qualification and performance monitoring programs to guarantee raw material compliance.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and develop QA staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
Required Skills
- In‑depth knowledge of food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP, GFSI) and Tunisian regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in quality management software and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC).
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Fluency in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or HACCP Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage sector, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment is preferred.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 45,000 to SSP 55,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
