Job Overview

The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and reporting on the cost, schedule, and performance metrics of Enel Green Power’s renewable energy projects in the Kasserine region. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and external contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will implement robust control systems, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights that drive decision‑making and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, aligning with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, and track actual expenditures against baseline budgets.
  • Perform earned value management (EVM) analysis to assess project performance and forecast future trends.
  • Generate regular progress reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate schedule and cost risks, proposing corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with procurement and contract teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Support change order management, evaluating financial and schedule impacts of scope modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with Enel Green Power’s internal controls, industry standards, and local regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in earned value management and variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy project lifecycles, especially solar and wind.
  • Fluency in English and French; Arabic is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, or a recognized cost engineering qualification is highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in project controls within the renewable energy sector or large‑scale infrastructure projects. Prior experience with international EPC contractors and familiarity with Tunisian regulatory frameworks will be considered an advantage.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 3,500 to 5,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
