Job Overview
The Marine Renewable Energy Analyst will support the planning, assessment, and implementation of wave and tidal energy projects along Tunisia’s coastline. Working closely with engineering, project management, and environmental teams, the analyst will conduct resource assessments, data modeling, and feasibility studies to identify optimal sites for marine energy installations. This position plays a critical role in translating scientific data into actionable project recommendations, ensuring that Siemens Gamesa’s marine initiatives align with both commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive marine resource assessments using wave buoy data, tidal current measurements, and satellite observations.
- Develop and validate numerical models to predict energy yield and assess site suitability.
- Prepare detailed feasibility reports, including technical, economic, and environmental analyses.
- Collaborate with marine engineers to design conceptual layouts for wave and tidal converters.
- Support the permitting process by preparing environmental impact documentation and liaising with Tunisian regulatory bodies.
- Monitor project performance post‑installation and provide data‑driven recommendations for optimization.
- Stay updated on international marine energy standards, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing platforms and present findings to senior leadership.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or R for data processing and modeling.
- Experience with marine energy resource assessment tools such as SWAN, WAM, or OpenFOAM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French or Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to interpret complex technical data and translate it into clear business recommendations.
- Project management fundamentals and familiarity with stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of Tunisian maritime regulations and environmental legislation.
Education
A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Ocean Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. or specialized certifications in marine energy are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in marine renewable energy, coastal engineering, or offshore wind resource assessment. Experience working on projects in the Mediterranean region or with international consortia will be considered an advantage.
Salary
