Job Overview
The Industrial Gases Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing the sales pipeline for industrial gases and related equipment in the Sfax region. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key accounts, and delivering technical solutions that meet customer requirements. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between the technical team and the market, ensuring that Air Liquide’s product portfolio is positioned effectively to capture market share and drive revenue growth.
As part of the Sales & Business Development department, you will collaborate closely with the operations, engineering and customer service teams to provide end‑to‑end solutions. You will also be expected to stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor activities, leveraging this knowledge to propose innovative offerings that align with Air Liquide’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and develop new business prospects within the industrial, manufacturing and food processing sectors.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations, tailoring solutions to meet specific client needs.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts and pricing agreements in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design custom gas solutions and ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and regulatory updates to adapt sales strategies.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets, reporting performance metrics to senior management.
- Participate in trade shows, industry conferences and networking events to promote Air Liquide’s brand.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of industrial gases, applications and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision‑makers.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in the chemicals or manufacturing sector.
- Analytical mindset to assess customer requirements and propose cost‑effective solutions.
- Fluency in Arabic and French; English proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration or a related field is required. Advanced certifications in sales or technical training related to industrial gases are considered a plus.
Experience
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in industrial sales, preferably dealing with gases, chemicals or related equipment. Experience in the Tunisian market or North African region will be highly valued.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500 to SSP 3,500 per month, commensurate with experience and performance. In addition to the base salary, a performance‑based bonus structure is offered.
