Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Data Analytics Platform Developer to join our growing team in Kairouan. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable data analytics platforms specifically tailored for industrial manufacturing environments. You will work with massive streams of real-time operational technology (OT) data from factory floors, developing algorithms and applications that provide predictive insights, optimize production processes, and enable data-driven decision-making for our global clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices architecture for industrial data ingestion, processing, and analytics.
• Implement real-time data pipelines connecting factory floor equipment (PLCs, sensors, SCADA systems) to cloud analytics platforms.
• Develop and optimize time-series databases and data models specifically for industrial manufacturing data.
• Create APIs and integration frameworks that allow manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to consume analytics insights.
• Build visualization dashboards and reporting tools that present complex industrial data in actionable formats for operations teams.
• Implement machine learning models into production systems for predictive maintenance, quality control, and process optimization.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, and performance through rigorous testing and monitoring frameworks.
• Collaborate with industrial engineers to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in industrial IoT, edge computing, and manufacturing analytics.
• Document architecture decisions, development processes, and platform capabilities for internal and customer use.

Required Skills

• Expert proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for backend development with industrial applications.
• Strong experience with time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB) and data streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar).
• Deep understanding of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, EtherNet/IP).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in industrial contexts.
• Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques specifically for manufacturing and industrial data.
• Familiarity with industrial automation systems, PLC programming, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles as applied to industrial control systems.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Additional certifications in cloud architecture, data engineering, or industrial automation are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate continuous learning through professional development in emerging industrial software technologies.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with at least 3 years specifically focused on data-intensive applications. Industrial or manufacturing domain experience is essential. Proven track record of developing and deploying production-grade data platforms. Experience with the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment. Previous work with global distributed teams is advantageous.
