Job Overview

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive food safety and quality systems across Nestlé’s manufacturing sites in Tunisia. Reporting to the Regional Quality Director, the incumbent will ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards such as ISO 22000, BRC, and HACCP, and Nestlé’s internal policies. This pivotal position will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Production, R&D, Procurement, and Marketing—to embed a culture of continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and consumer‑centric quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) aligned with ISO 22000, HACCP, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and closed within defined timelines.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards for production and support staff.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with R&D to assess new product formulations for safety and compliance before launch.
  • Manage supplier qualification and audit processes to guarantee raw material safety.
  • Investigate and resolve product quality incidents, root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on compliance status, trends, and improvement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of changes in Tunisian food legislation and global best practices, integrating them into Nestlé’s quality framework.

Required Skills

  • In‑depth knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, and Tunisian food safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop teams.
  • Fluency in French and Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Food Safety Professional (CFSP) or HACCP Lead Auditor are highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs within the food and beverage industry. Experience in a multinational environment and exposure to global quality standards will be viewed favorably.

Salary
