Job Overview
We are seeking a Digital Forestry Conservation Specialist to join our team in Tataouine, Tunisia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our conservation efforts in the region.
The Digital Forestry Conservation Specialist will work closely with our conservation team to design and implement digital tools and platforms to monitor and manage forest ecosystems, as well as to engage with local communities and stakeholders on conservation issues.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation, and digital technologies, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support conservation efforts in the region
- Design and implement digital tools and platforms to monitor and manage forest ecosystems
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders on conservation issues
- Collaborate with the conservation team to develop and implement conservation plans
- Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation decisions
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, conservation, and digital technologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, including GIS and remote sensing
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, digital technologies, or a related field
