Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Conservation Specialist to join our team in Tataouine, Tunisia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our conservation efforts, including the use of remote sensing and GIS technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support conservation efforts, including the use of remote sensing and GIS technologies
- Collaborate with conservation teams to identify areas of high conservation value and develop strategies for their protection
- Conduct fieldwork to collect data on forest health and biodiversity
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders to promote conservation efforts
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in conservation or a related field
- Strong knowledge of remote sensing and GIS technologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
