Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Forestry Conservation Specialist to join our team in Siliana, Tunisia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our conservation efforts, including the use of remote sensing and GIS technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support conservation efforts, including the use of remote sensing and GIS technologies.
- Collaborate with conservation teams to identify areas of high conservation value and develop strategies for their protection.
- Conduct fieldwork to collect data on forest health and biodiversity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders to promote conservation efforts.
- Provide training and capacity building to local communities and conservation teams on digital conservation tools and techniques.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in conservation and digital forestry.
- Strong knowledge of remote sensing and GIS technologies.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
