Job Overview
We are seeking a Digital Forestry Conservation Specialist to join our team in Djerba, Tunisia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our conservation efforts in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation, and digital technologies. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support conservation efforts in the region
- Collaborate with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to identify conservation priorities and develop effective solutions
- Conduct field research and data analysis to inform conservation decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders
- Represent The Nature Conservancy at local and national events
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, conservation, and digital technologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in conservation, environmental science, or a related field
