Job Overview
The Data Center Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day management of Orange Tunisia’s primary data center facilities in El Mourouj. This role ensures optimal performance, availability, and security of all IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and power systems. The manager will coordinate cross‑functional teams, oversee incident resolution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet service level agreements and business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the data center, ensuring 99.9% uptime and compliance with industry standards.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
- Develop and implement capacity planning strategies to accommodate growth and seasonal demand.
- Manage incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem reporting to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate with security teams to enforce physical and logical security controls.
- Maintain documentation of infrastructure configurations, SOPs, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendor management to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and rack management.
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven approach to decision making.
- Effective communication skills in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
- Leadership experience with a focus on team empowerment and stakeholder management.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as ITIL, Cisco CCNP, or VMware VCP are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to professional excellence.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience managing data center operations, preferably within a large‑scale, carrier‑grade environment.
