Job Overview
The Coastal Ecosystem Restoration Specialist will lead projects to rehabilitate degraded coastal habitats, including seagrass meadows, mangroves, and coral reefs. This role combines scientific research, community engagement, and policy advocacy to promote long-term environmental resilience. Candidates will work closely with marine biologists, local stakeholders, and international conservation teams to advance WWF Tunisia’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement coastal restoration projects, including habitat mapping and ecological assessments
- Conduct field surveys to monitor biodiversity and ecosystem health
- Develop partnerships with local communities for sustainable resource management
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders
- Advocate for policy changes to protect marine ecosystems
Required Skills
- Expertise in coastal ecology and restoration techniques
- Proficiency in GIS and environmental data analysis tools
- Experience in grant writing and donor coordination
- Fluency in English and Arabic preferred

Education
- Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or related field
- Certifications in coastal management or conservation practices are advantageous

Salary
12,000 – 15,000 TND per month, commensurate with experience.
