Job Overview
The Cloud Solutions Architect will design, implement, and optimize cloud architectures for IBM’s enterprise clients across North Africa. This role is critical in translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, security experts, and project managers, to ensure seamless delivery of cloud services.
As a key member of the Cloud Services department, you will also contribute to thought leadership by publishing best practices, participating in industry events, and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect end‑to‑end cloud solutions that meet client business objectives and technical requirements.
- Lead the migration of legacy systems to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with security teams to embed robust security controls and compliance frameworks into cloud designs.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts and prototypes to validate architectural decisions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams.

Required Skills
- Deep expertise in major cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as IBM Certified Solution Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing cloud solutions for enterprise clients. Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment is a plus.
Salary
