Job Overview

The Aviation Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of Tunisair’s fleet through meticulous inspection, troubleshooting, repair and documentation of aircraft systems. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes, engines, avionics and auxiliary power units.
• Perform detailed inspections, functional tests and fault isolation using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare and review maintenance records, service bulletins and compliance documentation in accordance with EASA and ICAO regulations.
• Coordinate with line maintenance crews, supply chain partners and external vendors to ensure timely availability of spare parts.
• Lead root‑cause analysis investigations for recurring technical issues and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in the development and revision of maintenance procedures, checklists and technical manuals.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality and continuous learning.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, propulsion systems, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software (e.g., AMOS, RAMCO) and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high safety standards.
• Team‑oriented mindset with leadership potential.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as EASA Part‑66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License or equivalent are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of hands‑on experience maintaining commercial aircraft, preferably with exposure to Airbus A320 family or Boeing 737 series. Experience in a major airline MRO environment or with a certified maintenance organization is advantageous.

Salary
