Job Overview
The AI Ethics Officer will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of ethical frameworks for artificial intelligence solutions deployed by Microsoft Tunisia. Working closely with product teams, legal counsel, and external stakeholders, the officer ensures that AI systems are transparent, fair, and compliant with local regulations and international best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AI ethical guidelines aligned with Microsoft’s Responsible AI Standard and Tunisian regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments for AI projects, identifying potential bias, privacy concerns, and societal impacts.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.
- Provide training and workshops for internal teams on AI ethics, fairness, and transparency.
- Engage with external regulators, NGOs, and academic partners to stay abreast of emerging standards and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for senior leadership on compliance status and ethical performance.
- Lead incident response for AI‑related ethical issues, ensuring timely remediation and communication.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, data governance, and ethical frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable policies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Arabic, French, and English to interact with diverse audiences.
- Experience with regulatory environments in Tunisia and the EU (e.g., GDPR, AI Act).
- Project management expertise and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
Education
A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, Law, Philosophy, or a related discipline is required. Certifications in AI ethics, data privacy (e.g., CIPP/E), or responsible AI are highly valued.
Experience
Minimum of five years of professional experience in AI ethics, data compliance, risk management, or a comparable field. Prior experience in a multinational technology company or a consultancy focused on AI governance is preferred.
Salary
