Job Overview

The Mining Operations Planner will be responsible for developing, optimizing and monitoring short‑term and long‑term mine plans to ensure efficient extraction of ore while maintaining safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed short‑term mine schedules (weekly and monthly) aligned with production targets.
• Collaborate with geologists to integrate updated resource models into planning software.
• Monitor actual production versus plan and recommend adjustments to meet targets.
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare performance reports for senior management.
• Ensure all plans comply with safety regulations, environmental guidelines and corporate policies.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to align material flow with production schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Support the implementation of digital planning tools and data analytics platforms.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in mine planning software such as MineSight, Surpac or Vulcan.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of Tunisian mining regulations and environmental standards.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in mine planning or project management are considered an asset. Candidates with a Master’s degree or relevant professional training will be given preference.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years of experience in mine planning, operations scheduling or a similar role within the mining sector. Experience with open‑pit or underground mining environments, as well as familiarity with ERP systems, will enhance your application.
