Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Development Manager will lead the end‑to‑end development of solar and wind projects from feasibility studies through commissioning. Reporting to the Regional Director of Renewable Energy, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects meet technical, financial, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new renewable energy opportunities in Tunisia and neighboring markets.
- Conduct site assessments, resource analysis, and financial modeling to determine project viability.
- Lead the preparation of project proposals, investment memoranda, and regulatory filings.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners to develop detailed project schedules and budgets.
- Manage relationships with government agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders to secure permits and land agreements.
- Oversee risk assessments, environmental impact studies, and compliance with national renewable energy policies.
- Monitor project performance, ensuring milestones are met and budgets are adhered to.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and contribute to strategic planning for the renewable portfolio.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with expertise in financial modeling and cost‑benefit analysis.
- In‑depth knowledge of Tunisian renewable energy regulations, grid interconnection standards, and permitting processes.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and GIS software for site analysis.
- Fluent in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
- Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams and external contractors.
Education
A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. Certifications such as PMP, CEM, or equivalent are advantageous.
Experience
Applicants must have 5‑7 years of proven experience in developing utility‑scale solar or wind projects, preferably within North Africa. Experience with EPC contracts, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and financing structures is essential.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of 3,500 – 5,000 SSP per month, complemented by performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme.
