Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Forestry Ecologist to join our team in Tataouine, Tunisia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital forestry projects in Tunisia, working closely with local stakeholders and partners to promote sustainable forest management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital forestry projects in Tunisia, working closely with local stakeholders and partners.
- Conduct fieldwork to collect data on forest ecosystems and develop digital models to predict forest growth and health.
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable forest management practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure project goals are met.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry or a related field.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Arabic and French languages.
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field is an asset.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry or a related field. Experience working in Tunisia or the Middle East is an asset.
Salary
The salary for this position is 3000-5000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
