Job Overview

The Risk Modeling Manager will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced risk models that support HSBC Tunisia’s credit, market, and operational risk frameworks. Reporting to the Head of Risk Analytics, the role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, ensuring model governance, and delivering actionable insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and back‑testing to assess model performance.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, IT, and business units to ensure data quality and model integration.
  • Prepare comprehensive model documentation, validation reports, and regulatory submissions.
  • Provide risk insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board Risk Committee.
  • Lead model governance processes, including model risk rating and periodic reviews.
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in risk analytics.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS.
  • Expertise in econometric and machine‑learning techniques applied to risk modeling.
  • Deep understanding of Basel III, IFRS 9, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex quantitative concepts into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Education

A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline is required. Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or PRM are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in risk management.

Experience
