Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary Industrial IoT Solutions Architect to join our Digital Industries team in Bizerte. This role is central to designing and implementing end-to-end IoT architectures that connect industrial assets, enable data-driven insights, and create new digital business models for our clients. You will be the technical lead on complex digitalization projects, working directly with key customers in sectors such as automotive, food & beverage, and pharmaceuticals to translate their business challenges into robust, scalable IIoT solutions using the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and architecture of comprehensive Industrial IoT solutions for manufacturing and process industry clients.
• Conduct in-depth customer workshops to analyze business processes, identify pain points, and define digital use cases and value propositions.
• Develop detailed solution blueprints, including technology selection, data flow design, integration points, and security architecture.
• Spearhead the implementation of proof-of-concepts and pilot projects, providing technical guidance to engineering and development teams.
• Act as the primary technical interface for key accounts, ensuring solutions align with customer strategic goals and Siemens best practices.
• Collaborate with product management to provide feedback from the field and influence the roadmap of Siemens’ IIoT platform offerings.
• Create and deliver compelling technical presentations, architecture documentation, and proposal materials.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in IoT, edge computing, AI/ML, and digital twins to incorporate innovative approaches into solution designs.

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of Industrial IoT architecture patterns, protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus), and platforms (MindSphere, Azure IoT, AWS IoT).
• Strong proficiency in industrial automation systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS) and IT/OT convergence principles.
• Proven experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
• Excellent understanding of data modeling, time-series databases, and industrial analytics.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Project management and agile methodology experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French; Arabic is an advantage.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a closely related field is required. Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) or industrial automation (Siemens Certified Professional) are highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.

Experience

A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in a solutions architecture, systems engineering, or technical consulting role, with a specific focus on industrial software, IoT, or digital transformation projects. Must have a demonstrable track record of successfully designing and deploying at least two large-scale IIoT or digital twin solutions in an industrial setting. Experience in the manufacturing, energy, or process industries is essential.
