Job Overview
This role is central to designing and implementing next-generation urban infrastructure in Bizerte. The Smart City Infrastructure Planner will lead the integration of digital technologies into municipal planning, ensuring alignment with national smart city initiatives and international sustainability standards. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape Tunisia’s urban future while working with global smart city frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive urban development plans incorporating smart infrastructure solutions
- Collaborate with municipal authorities, technology providers, and community stakeholders
- Conduct feasibility studies for smart grid, IoT-enabled public services, and sustainable mobility projects
- Utilize GIS and BIM tools for 3D urban modeling and impact assessments
- Ensure compliance with Tunisian urban planning regulations and EU smart city certification standards
Required Skills
- Expertise in smart city technologies (IoT, AI, digital twins)
- Proven experience with urban planning software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD, CityEngine)
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration in urban environments
- Strong project management and cross-sector collaboration abilities
- Fluency in French and Arabic preferred
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master’s Degree in Smart City Technologies or Sustainable Development is a strong advantage.
Experience
3-5 years in urban development projects, with demonstrable experience in smart infrastructure implementation. Prior work on municipal-level digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
Salary
120,000 – 150,000 TND/year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
