We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Bizerte, Tunisia. The successful candidate will work closely with our local partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit both people and the environment.

Job Overview

The Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit both people and the environment. This will involve working closely with local partners to develop and implement aquaculture projects that promote sustainable fishing practices, improve fish yields, and enhance the livelihoods of local communities.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to local farmers and fishers to improve their aquaculture practices and increase their yields. This will involve conducting training sessions, providing technical support, and monitoring the progress of the aquaculture projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit both people and the environment
  • Work closely with local partners to develop and implement aquaculture projects that promote sustainable fishing practices, improve fish yields, and enhance the livelihoods of local communities
  • Provide technical assistance to local farmers and fishers to improve their aquaculture practices and increase their yields
  • Conduct training sessions, provide technical support, and monitor the progress of the aquaculture projects

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in sustainable aquaculture practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
