Job Overview
The Sustainable Agriculture Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable agriculture projects in Tunisia. The successful candidate will work closely with local farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of sustainable agriculture practices.
The position will involve conducting research, developing project proposals, and managing project budgets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to farmers and extension agents, and for monitoring and evaluating project progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable agriculture projects in Tunisia
- Conduct research on sustainable agriculture practices and their impact on farmers’ livelihoods
- Develop project proposals and manage project budgets
- Provide technical assistance to farmers and extension agents
- Monitor and evaluate project progress
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Agronomy or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in sustainable agriculture
- Strong research and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and with local stakeholders
Education
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Agronomy or a related field. A Ph.D. in Agronomy or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, with a strong background in research and project management.
Salary
The salary for this position is 3000-6000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
