Job Overview
The Room Service Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and directing all operational activities in the Room Service Department while maintaining exceptional guest experiences. The role focuses on team leadership, food quality assurance, cost management, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction across 24-hour in-room dining services.
The successful candidate will coordinate closely with Food & Beverage leadership, culinary teams, and hotel management to deliver premium hospitality standards and efficient service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Room Service Operations Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee all Room Service Department operations.
- Ensure smooth daily delivery of 24-hour in-room dining and private bar services.
- Monitor service standards to guarantee a premium guest experience.
- Handle guest concerns, special requests, and complaint resolution professionally.
Team Leadership & Staff Supervision
- Recruit, train, coach, and supervise room service staff.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and implement development plans.
- Promote teamwork, motivation, and compliance with hotel operational standards.
- Maintain high employee engagement and service excellence.
Food & Beverage Quality Management
- Ensure excellent quality of food items, beverages, wine, and spirits.
- Maintain strong knowledge of preparation methods, menu offerings, and guest preferences.
- Work closely with culinary teams to develop menu concepts and hospitality offerings.
- Ensure fair pricing and premium product presentation.
Guest Experience & Customer Satisfaction
- Build positive guest relationships and maintain excellent public relations.
- Stay visible during operations to improve guest engagement and service quality.
- Deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining hospitality standards.
Financial & Cost Control
- Control labor expenses and operational budgets.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and cash handling procedures.
- Implement efficient scheduling to improve departmental productivity.
- Monitor cost control for food and beverage operations.
Operational Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and hotel departments.
- Attend operational meetings for seamless service delivery.
- Monitor the condition of equipment and facilities while recommending improvements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, conduct standards, and hotel operating procedures.

Education and Qualification Requirements
