Job Overview

The Downstream Operations Analyst will support the planning, monitoring, and optimization of refinery and distribution activities in the Medenine region. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and analyze operational data from refinery units, storage facilities, and distribution terminals.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance dashboards highlighting key metrics such as throughput, yield, and downtime.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend actionable solutions to improve process efficiency and safety.
  • Support the development of short‑term and long‑term operational plans in coordination with engineering and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and TotalEnergies’ internal standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and audits.
  • Participate in incident investigations and contribute to root‑cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance data collection tools and reporting systems.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Understanding of downstream oil & gas processes, including refining, storage, and distribution.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in the oil & gas industry.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or a master’s degree are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in downstream operations, process analysis, or a similar role within the oil & gas sector. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Tunisia are highly valued.

Salary
