Job Overview
The Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) will be the primary architect of Accor’s environmental and social governance (ESG) strategy within the region. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sustainability roadmap aligned with global Accor ESG targets.
- Lead the transition to 100% renewable energy sources across all managed properties in the region.
- Implement zero-waste-to-landfill programs and eliminate single-use plastics throughout the supply chain.
- Establish strategic partnerships with local farmers and artisans to promote sustainable sourcing and community wealth.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to carbon emissions, water usage, and social impact.
- Advise the executive board on emerging environmental regulations and potential risks to the hospitality business model.
- Oversee the certification process for LEED, BREEAM, or Green Globe standards for new and existing developments.
Required Skills
- Expertise in ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and carbon accounting methodologies.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale sustainability transformations in the hospitality or real estate sectors.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Deep understanding of the Tunisian environmental regulatory landscape and international climate accords.
- Ability to integrate data-driven analytics into sustainability decision-making processes.
- Fluency in English and French, with a strong command of Arabic.
Education

Experience
