Job Overview

The Chief Data Privacy Officer (CDPO) will lead SAP Tunisia’s privacy strategy, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations such as the Tunisian Data Protection Law, GDPR, and industry‑specific standards. Reporting directly to the Country Managing Director, the CDPO will collaborate with legal, IT, HR, and business units to embed privacy by design across all processes and solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data privacy program aligned with Tunisian law, GDPR, and industry best practices.
  • Lead privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new products, services, and cross‑border data transfers.
  • Advise senior leadership on privacy risks, mitigation strategies, and regulatory changes.
  • Oversee incident response for data breaches, ensuring timely notification and remediation.
  • Conduct regular training and awareness campaigns for employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to embed privacy controls into architecture and cloud solutions.
  • Maintain documentation, policies, and records required for audits and regulatory filings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities and external auditors.

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Tunisian Data Protection Law, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience designing and executing privacy programs in large, multinational environments.
  • Strong analytical and risk‑assessment capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex legal concepts for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Leadership aptitude with a track record of influencing cross‑functional teams.
  • Familiarity with SAP solutions, cloud platforms (SAP Business Technology Platform, AWS, Azure), and data lifecycle management.

Education

A Master’s degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or ISO 27701 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in data privacy, compliance, or information security, with at least five years in a senior leadership role. Experience within the technology sector or enterprise software environment is preferred.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 120,000 to 180,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme.
