Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Grid Integration Engineer will design, analyze, and implement solutions that connect renewable generation assets to the national grid. You will work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, compliance with grid codes, and optimal performance of solar and wind farms. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop grid integration studies, including load flow, short‑circuit, and stability analyses for renewable projects.
  • Design protection schemes, voltage regulation, and reactive power control strategies.
  • Coordinate with local utilities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with Tunisian grid codes.
  • Perform site assessments and feasibility studies for new solar and wind installations.
  • Lead the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and permit applications.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and performance validation of integrated systems.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize system design and cost efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise during project handover and operation phases.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies, especially solar PV and wind turbines.
  • Proficiency in IEC and local grid code standards.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Project management experience in large‑scale energy projects.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic or French is a plus.

Education

A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. or additional certifications in renewable energy or grid integration are highly regarded.

Experience
