Job Overview
The Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer will play a critical role in our R&D department, focusing on the next generation of heavy-duty hydraulic circuits for construction and mining machinery. This role is essential for ensuring that our equipment remains the most reliable and efficient in the market. You will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle, from initial conceptualization and mathematical modeling to prototyping and field testing. This is a high-impact position that requires a deep understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure control, and mechanical integration.
As we continue hiring in Tunisia, we are looking for engineers who can bridge the gap between theoretical simulation and practical, ruggedized application. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to integrate smart hydraulic controls into our machinery. This role is perfect for a specialist who thrives on solving complex mechanical challenges and wants to see their designs operating in real-world, high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex hydraulic circuits for heavy machinery using advanced CAD and simulation software.
- Perform detailed fluid flow analysis and pressure drop calculations to optimize system efficiency.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are optimized for production and assembly.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of hydraulic components under extreme load conditions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hydraulic failures in prototype and field-deployed units.
- Develop technical documentation, including schematics, parts lists, and maintenance manuals.
- Integrate electronic control units (ECUs) with hydraulic actuators for precision movement control.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and hydraulic simulation tools (e.g., Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Deep knowledge of hydraulic component selection, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and accumulators.
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex system integration.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with international engineering teams.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Education
A Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, or a closely related engineering discipline is mandatory. Candidates with a PhD specializing in hydraulic systems or fluid mechanics will be given preference.
Experience
