Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Design and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for new and existing production lines.
- Develop automation architecture that integrates sensors, actuators, and edge computing devices.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and risk assessments for automation projects.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Implement predictive maintenance strategies using data analytics and machine learning.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation equipment on the shop floor.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test reports.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IEC 61508, and local safety regulations.
- Lead training sessions for operators and maintenance personnel on new automation technologies.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, Structured Text) and platforms such as Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, or Schneider Electric.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA/HMI development tools (Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
- Experience with industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet).
- Familiarity with IoT platforms, edge computing, and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Problem‑solving mindset with excellent analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Project management experience, including scheduling and budgeting.
Education
