Job Overview
Cevital Tunisia seeks a dynamic Sustainable Agriculture Project Manager to lead initiatives focused on enhancing crop yields while minimizing environmental impact in Sousse. This role will oversee the implementation of agroecological projects, including soil regeneration programs, organic farming training, and climate-resilient crop development. The ideal candidate will collaborate with farmers, researchers, and government agencies to advance Tunisia’s agricultural sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute sustainable agriculture projects aligned with Cevital’s environmental and economic objectives.
- Coordinate with local farmers and cooperatives to implement best practices in organic farming and water conservation.
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders including the Ministry of Agriculture.
- Conduct field assessments to evaluate soil health, crop performance, and environmental impact.
- Develop training programs for farmers on sustainable techniques and modern agri-tech tools.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in project management within agriculture or environmental sectors.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices and agroecology principles.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., GIS, Excel) for agricultural project evaluation.
- Ability to adapt to remote fieldwork conditions and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Sustainable Development is a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in agricultural project management, preferably in Tunisia or North Africa. Prior work with NGOs or government agricultural programs is advantageous.
Salary
180,000 – 250,000 TND annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
