Job Overview
The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architectures that protect Orange Tunisia’s network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN solutions to safeguard network traffic.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor security alerts, analyze incidents, and coordinate response actions with the Incident Response Team.
- Collaborate with network engineers to integrate security controls into new infrastructure projects, including 5G and fiber deployments.
- Prepare detailed security reports and present findings to senior management.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, attack vectors, and industry best practices to continuously improve the security posture.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS) and security technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Telecommunications, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CCNP Security are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in network security engineering, preferably within the telecommunications industry. Experience with large‑scale carrier networks and familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing telecom security in Tunisia are essential.
