Job Overview

The Industrial Safety Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures at BASF’s Kef manufacturing plant. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits across all production areas.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness drills, fire safety exercises, and evacuation procedures.
• Provide safety training and coaching to supervisors, operators, and contractors.
• Monitor and report safety performance metrics, including near‑misses, injuries, and compliance status.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and environmental teams to integrate safety into project designs and modifications.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, and regulatory filings.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local authorities, inspectors, and external auditors.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through communication campaigns, safety committees, and employee engagement activities.

Required Skills

• In‑depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in Tunisia and international standards.

Salary
