Job Overview
This role is pivotal in ensuring Cevital Tunisia’s agricultural and industrial operations comply with national and international environmental regulations. The Environmental Compliance Specialist will lead initiatives to minimize ecological impact, implement sustainability protocols, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance eco-conscious practices in the agribusiness sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental laws, permits, and industry standards for agricultural operations.
- Conduct audits of farming practices, waste management systems, and resource usage to identify compliance risks.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans tailored to agribusiness operations.
- Collaborate with local authorities and international bodies to stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Provide training to staff on sustainable farming techniques and compliance protocols.
- Prepare reports on environmental performance and submit them to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in environmental compliance for agricultural or industrial sectors.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing environmental impact and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in using environmental monitoring software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) frameworks.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related field. Advanced certifications in environmental compliance or sustainability management are advantageous.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably within agriculture, agribusiness, or industrial sectors. Experience with cross-border regulatory frameworks is a plus.
Salary
400,000 – 500,000 TND annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
